Regent Monitors Health Protocols Implementation in Inhabited Islands

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi together with related SKPD and UKPD monitored health protocols implementation in inhabited islands used for tourism, on this Saturday (9/5).

Hopefully we can stay safe as long as we follow the health protocols

This monitoring was carried out from Pramuka Island, continued to Tidung Island, and then Untung Jawa Island. His side checked facilities related to sanitation at piers, homestay units, and tourist sites as well as the performance of personnel on duty in monitoring exit-entry access in the pier.

According to him, tourists who visit to Thousand Islands can prevent COVID-19 transmission by always wearing mask, using hand washing facilities at the pier, homestay, and tourist sites, and maintaining safe distance.

"3M protocol should be applied wherever we are. At home, office, tourist sites, or even in public transportation modes," he added.

One of the tourists from Pluit, North Jakarta named Meyla, said that she and her family have undergone a strict inspection from the departure until Pramuka Island.

"Hopefully we can stay safe as long as we follow the health protocols," he conveyed.

In this monitoring, Junaedi warned one of the homestay owners for not preparing thermal gun, hand washing facility, and keeping the environment clean.

"In the future, we will give strict sanctions to those who neglect the regulations. For now we warn them persuasively by not allowing them to receive guests temporarily," he asserted.

His side will monitor the area routinely every weekend, when there is an increase in tourist visit to ensure the related sides can implement health protocols properly.

"We have instructed Satpol PP to intensify monitoring on the entrance-exit gates at piers and residential areas during the weekend to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he closed.
