Tidung Island Reopens Tourist Sites Under Strict Health Protocols

We reopen with the condition that tourists run a health protocol while on vacation

Thousand Islands Regency has begun to reopen tourist destinations on Tidung Island under new normal policies to alleviate the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism.

Junaedi, Deputy Regent of Thousand Islands stated it would be followed with several requirements that should be run by the owners of homestay and restaurant, including souvenir seller and tourist.

"We reopen with the condition that tourists run a health protocol while on vacation," he expressed, Wednesday (7/22).

He explained the closure would be resumed if anyone did not use masks and the capacity exceeded 50 percent and did not provide sanitation facilities.

Tidung Island Urban Village Head Hafsah welcomed it positively through tightening supervision that had been conducted from Marina Ancol Pier, Kaliadem and other piers in Tangerang.

"Tightening oversight include all health protocols for the safety and health of citizens," he uttered.

One of the travel service operators on Tidung Island Heri Gunawan (40) asserted his side was ready to run those procedures and warn tourists who brake the rules.

"Surely we are ready for everyone goodness," he closed.
