Tourist Area on Tidung Island Sprayed with Disinfectant

One of the places sprayed is at Saung Hijrah, which aims to curb the spread of COVID-19

The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency firefighters conduct the spraying action using disinfectant liquid in a number of tourist area on Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands.

It is done to follow up the request of the safe-island taskforce and the tourism awareness community (pokdarwis) considering the site was previously visited by tourists over the weekend, yesterday.

"One of the places sprayed is at Saung Hijrah, which aims to curb the spread of COVID-19," expressed North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Sector 8 Head, Eko Mahendro, Monday (9/7).

To conduct it, his sub-agency had sent as many as five firefighters plus one unit of water sprayer to the location.

"We spray 15 liters of disinfectant liquid to throughout the tourist area and infrastructure at the site," he stated.
