West Jakarta KPKP Holds Education on Urban Farming Development

The West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency gives a virtual education on urban farming development and processed products to 480 participants.
Sri Riana Hakim, Division Head of Food Security and Agriculture said those participants were 276 Jakpreneurs, urban farming communities and West Jakarta Family Welfare Movement (PKK) members.

"The aim is to improve the role and economy of the community in urban farming," he expressed, Monday (9/7).
He explained the material given were about the way of cultivating land-saving vegetables (conventional methods), techniques for making simple hydroponic systems and seeding seedlings, as well as techniques for making pulmonary-flavored kale chips.
"The hope is they can still be productive and entrepreneurial amid the pandemic," he hoped.
