Dinkes to Add Hospital Beds for COVID-19 Patients

Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), scrambling to control a second wave of COVID-19, vowed to double its critical-care hospital beds in the ICU or in isolation room amid a severe shortage.

So, in total, the isolation will have 4,800 beds and the ICU has 600 beds

Based on the latest data, there are 4,053 isolation beds for COVID-19 patients and 528 beds in the ICU in Jakarta. In the near future, 800 beds will be added in the isolation room and 100 beds in the ICU

"So, in total, the isolation will have 4,800 beds and the ICU has 600 beds," expressed Jakarta Dinkes Head, Widyastuti, Wednesday (9/9).

Here are Detail Information Concerning New Medical and Health Professionals in Jakarta

Those beds would be spread in 67 referral hospitals and several additional referral hospitals in Jakarta such as, RSUD, vertical hospital, BUMN hospital, army/police hospital and private hospital.

She added the Cengkareng and Pasar Minggu RSUDs would be used as a special hospital for handling COVID-19. Several private hospitals were also willing to join in providing similar services.

"We're indeed increasing the capacity of beds, both ICU and isolation, through various strategies, including several hospitals," she said.
