Remembering Saefullah in the Eyes of BUMD Leaders

As reported earlier, City Secretary Saefullah died on Wednesday noon after being admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD) in Central Jakarta at around 12:55 PM. Among his partners, he is known as a hardworking, smart, and humorous figure. 

He is a hard worker, as well as humorous and very qualified and very familiar with the ins and outs of government

Surely it leaves a deep scar for the leaders of Jakarta Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD).

PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya President Director Arief Prasetyo Adi, recalled Saefullah's figure as a very capable official and very familiar with the ins and outs of government.

"He is a hard worker, as well as humorous and very qualified and very familiar with the ins and outs of government," he expressed, when being interviewed by Beritajakarta.id, Thursday (9/17).

PT MRT Jakarta Director William Sabandar, also had his own impression of Saefullah. According to him, he was a very useful person for MRT Jakarta.

"He is the Head of the MRT Jakarta System Development Working Team which was formed in 2014. Through a period of four governors since Mr. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Mr. Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, Mr. Soni Sumarsono and Mr. Anies Baswedan, he has always consistently accompanied them in providing directions to the MRT Jakarta," he wrote in his personal Instagram account.

In the meantime, PAL Jaya Director Erwin Marphy admitted, despite he did not often interact, he was impressed by his figure that was smart and humorous.

"He often inserts humorous words when giving directions or in his speech. He is also a person who knows details about problems in Jakarta," he admitted.

He added his figure was also known as an assertive person. Because on several occasions in his directives, he always reminded PD PAL Jaya not to work in a safe zone, but should have a breakthrough to improve public services through new innovations.

"His career started as a teacher to reach the highest structure in the Jakarta Provincial Government. This is surely very impressive," he added.

PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Director Teuku Sahir Syahali also admired Saefullah's figure. According to him, he was a humble figure, able to see others with his heart, never condescending to others and very friendly.

"I had the opportunity to meet with him several times when hosting the meeting tactically as he was already very familiar with the material. He is also adept at estimating the end of each problem and carefully calculating the risks," he explained.

Not only that he was also impressed by the leadership and networking built by him.

"Ancol owes him a lot of gratitude. His support to Ancol in several ways shortened the process and time. What should have been done in months, it could be done and completed in two weeks. One of the actions that will flow as his good deeds is our discussion when we will start the Prophet Rasullullah Museum in Ancol," he stated.
