This year, Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency targeted to build 20 infiltration wells at RW 04, Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands.

Until this day, Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf mentioned, his side has realized 50 percent of total 20 infiltration wells.
"As many as 10 infiltration wells have been completed. Now, we need to build the remaining retaining walls in 10 other locations at RT 02," he explained, Tuesday (10/6).

"Infiltration wells are great to prevent inundation either because of rain and tidal flooding," he said.
His side deployed 11 PJLP personnel of Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency to build infiltration wells.
"Overall, we target it to finish the construction in this December," he asserted.
