City Appreciates Central Government's Support in Providing Hotels as Controlled Isolation Locations

The city administration is cooperating with the central government to provide controlled isolation facilities for people confirmed positive for COVID-19 with mild or asymptomatic symptoms. On that occasion, Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria, appreciated this support during his visit with House deputy speaker Azis Syamsuddin at the U Stay Mangga Besar Hotel, on Tuesday (10/6).
"Hopefully, with the support of the central government's cooperation, we can immediately curb the spread of COVID-19," he explained, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Thousand Islands Provides 13 Controlled Isolation LocationsIn the meantime, Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Chairman Krisnadi stated that there were 19 hotels (3,511 rooms) that had been provided by the central government. Not only as a controlled isolation area, the hotel would be used as accommodation for health workers. Of the 19 hotels, 12 had been used, namely 9 hotels for accommodation for health workers, 3 hotels for people confirmed positive for COVID-19 without symptoms, including Hotel U Stay Mangga Besar.
On the other hand, the administration along with the COVID-19 task force had set the location of controlled isolation and its procedures through Governor Decree number 979/2020 and number 980/2020.
Based on number 979/2020, the city is preparing a controlled isolation location which is included in the category hotel, lodging or athletes' homestead. They are namely Jakarta Islamic Center (JIS), North Jakarta; Graha Wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, East Jakarta; and Graha Wisata Ragunan, GOR Jaya Raya Ragunan Housing Complex, South Jakarta.
