East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency returns to clean up channel in Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, this Thursday (10/8).
We use water cannon from one fire truck with capacity of 2,500 liters to clean up the channel
This cleaning is carried out by spraying the channel using firetruck's water hose because personnel can't enter the narrow channel on the location.
East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Fire Control and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman mentioned, his side is focused on cleaning water channel on Jalan Kelapa Hijau, RW 014.

This cleaning is carried out to follow up request from local urban village in order to return the function of channel which has been clogged by mud sedimentation and waste.
"This cleaning is done to anticipate inundation and flood in the area," he closed.
