Gulkarmat Personnel Clean Up Three Channels in Utan Kayu Selatan

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency personnel cleaned up three water channels on Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Matraman, on Wednesday (10/7).

By spraying it with water, we hope it can make the water to flow well thus inundation can be minimized

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Fire Control and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman mentioned, his side cleaned those channels because it was clogged due to mud sedimentation and waste.

His side cleaned the clogged channels by spraying the channels with water because personnel couldn't enter the channels.

"By spraying it with water, we hope it can make the water to flow well thus inundation can be minimized," he stated.

This cleaning was carried out to follow up request from Utan Kayu Urban Village.

His side cleaned three water channels, consisting of water channel on Jl. Galur Sari Timur Gang Cikal RW 12, Jl. Kelapa Hijau RT 003, 006 of RW 014, and Jl. Nanas RT 006/012, Utan Kayu Selatan.

"We spray the channels using one unit of fire truck with capacity of 2.500 liters and deploy four personnel of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency," he explained.
