Damaged Levee Barriers in Cilangkap Repaired

It is done to anticipate puddles and floods in the rainy season

The East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is repairing damaged levee barriers between reservoirs at Cilangkap Reservoir, RW 01 Cilangkap, Cipayung, on Saturday (10/10).

Cipayung Sub-district Head Fajar Eko Satrio said it was done, as the cross-sectional barriers between reservoirs were damaged along eight meters, two meters wide and one meter deep.

Its repair was conducted by making 16 gabions (locally known as bronjong) filled with river stones by ten personnel.

"It is done to anticipate puddles and floods in the rainy season," he expressed, Saturday (10/10).

Cipayung Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Dian Kartika added the damaged barriers were in two locations.

Yet one location was completed two weeks ago, and now the team is working on repairs on the other one.

"It is targeted to be complete on Tuesday (10/13)," he stated.
