Flood Recedes in Several RTs, Some Residents Return to Their Homes

Number of RTs that were flooded due to rain since Saturday (10/10) began to recede, from 129 RTs to 42 RTs in three municipalities of Jakarta.

Jakarta Regional Disaster Management (BPBD)'s Centre for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head, Mohammad Insaf conveyed, based on updated data on Sunday (10/11) at 9 AM, as many as 42 RTs were still inundated with water level (TMA) about 10-150 centimeters.

"Recently, there are 42 RTs that are still inundated, including 11 RTs in East Jakarta, 16 RTs in South Jakarta, and 15 RTs in West Jakarta," he mentioned when confirmed on Sunday (10/11).

BPBD Builds Two Evacuation Posts in South Jakarta

According to him, from 9 shelters built by BPBD, it reduced into 4 shelters in total. In Ciganjur Urban Village, South Jakarta, number of evacuees reduced from 1,200 to 225 people in Citra Alam School and Ciganjur Urban Village Office's Hall. While number of evacuees in Pondok Pinang Urban Village, South Jakarta, remains 30 people.

"Most evacuees in shelters have reduced, except shelter in Kedoya Selatan Urban Village, Al Ikhlas Musala, with total 24 evacuees," he explained.
