Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of October 13

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of October 13.

The number of people tested last week has reached 63,659

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 11,963 specimens. 9,570 of them were to diagnose new cases with 1,054 positive and 8,516 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 63,659, while 101,025 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (10/13).

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 13,551 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead). As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 89,228 cases.

Of these cases, 73,733 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 82.6% and 1,944 people died with a death rate of 2.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 3.5%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 11.8%, while Indonesia was 8.3%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

During the transitional PSBB, the city suggested for people who want to enter Jakarta area to conduct an independent examination COVID-19 via JakCLM in JAKI application. They are capable of finding out the risk of COVID-19 and get various health recommendations according to the risks they have. Community contributions in filling the JakCLM can help the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSSB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here are the things that need to be done in daily activities amid the pandemic:

1. Stay home if not urgent

2. Always run 3M rules: (Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (keeping a distance), maintain physical distancing and wash hands with soap and running water regularly.

3. All activities permitted to operate must be within a maximum capacity of 50% and strictly adhere to health protocols

4. Remind others to always implement health protocols
