Public Facilities in Kelapa Island Sprayed with Disinfectant

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Sector 7 personnel carried out disinfectant spraying to sterilize all public facilities in Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Personnel use 20 liters of disinfectant liquid to sterilize those areas

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat Sub-agency Sector 7 Leader, Buang Miharja mentioned, this disinfectant spraying was carried out to prevent COVID-19 transmission in Kelapa Island.

"We deploy 4 personnel and 1 water sprayer. Our personnel are accompanied by supervisory team from urban village, Safe Island Task Force, and medical team," he stated, Friday (10/16).

On this occasion, his side sprayed public facilities in the island with disinfectant, such as pier, beach, Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) Nyiur Melambai, and Kelapa Island Urban Village Health Center (Puskesmas).

"Personnel use 20 liters of disinfectant liquid to sterilize those areas," he informed.

Kelapa Island Urban Village Government Section Head, Muslim conveyed his appreciation to Gulkarmat personnel for their assistance in preventing COVID-19 transmission in the region.

"We want disinfectant spraying to be carried out regularly, especially now that the tourism sector is allowed to operate again," he closed.
