South Jakarta Baznas Bazis Renovates 72 Houses of Underprivileged Residents

Since July 2002, South Jakarta Baznas Bazis has renovated 72 underprivileged residents houses in 10 sub-districts. 4 of them have been completed, while the others are still under construction.

While the other 68 houses in 10 sub-districts are still under construction

South Jakarta Baznas Bazis Chairperson, Yasdar conveyed, those four completed houses are located in Jati Padang, Pasar Minggu.

"While the other 68 houses in 10 sub-districts are still under construction. The construction is started on September 15 and targeted to finish on November 15," he said, Monday (10/19).

According to him, this year's budget for house renovations is Rp 45 million for each houses and it is collected jointly by local residents. He hopes this program can assist underprivileged people to live in a decent and healthy house.

"In addition, we also receive house renovation applications for six houses in Pela Mampang. Currently, we are surveying and monitoring the area," he mentioned.
