Floods in Jakarta Have Started to Decrease

There were previously four RTs inundated and now two have receded

The number of residential areas and inundated roads in Jakarta has started to gradually decrease. Of the four RTs, only two are still inundated.

Jakarta BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said those two inundated RTs were located in Bangka Urban Village, South Jakarta and Rambutan Urban Village, East Jakarta.

Heavy Rain, Four RTs and Seven Roads in Jakarta Inundated

"There were previously four RTs inundated and now two have receded. The average water level is around 10-70 cm," he said, Tuesday (10/27).

Similar condition was spotted on seven roads, and now six roads in Jakarta had receded.

"One is still inundated in South Jakarta, precisely at Jalan Pondok Karya, Pela Mampang, Mampang Prapatan. The motorists are expected to be more careful as the water level reaches 10 centimeters," he stated.
