East Jakarta Vice Mayor Hendra Hidayat, took his time to monitor the Cipinang River in the Police Ciracas Complex today, Monday (11/22).
In his visit, he accompanied by Ciracas Sub-district Vice Head Rudy Syahrul, Rambutan Urban Village Ikhwan Muhammad Ali, East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency's Maintenance Division Head Puryanto and other officials.

His party was checking the condition of the rivers and sheet piles on Jalan Toga Asri 4, RT 04/05 Police Complex, Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas.
"As a result, we plan to dredge up the river and coordinate with the polda metro and the central government as the owner of the land, to build an embung (artificial lake) in the area," he explained.
In the meantime, the Maintenance Division Head Puryanto added, to handle inundation, the river would be dredged from the downstream.
At least starting tonight, two heavy equipments would be deployed to drain the Cipinang Besar Selatan area, Jatinegara. If it was done, it would be continued to the upstream.
"It aims to make the river deeper in order to accommodate water optimally," he stated.
