Last Weekend, 3,089 Tourists Visited Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency recorded as many as 3,089 tourists visited Thousand Islands on November 7-8, 2020.

During the pandemic, tourists who visit Thousand Islands are required to comply with health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission

Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head, Puji Astuti conveyed, number of tourists on Saturday (11/7) reached 1,659 people, while on Sunday (11/8) reached 1,430 people.

"During the pandemic, tourists who visit Thousand Islands are required to comply with health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission," she asserted, Monday (11/9).

In order to prevent COVID-19 transmission, her side has strengthen monitoring on visitors from departure piers to arrival in the islands.

"We ensure them to comply with 3M by wearing mask, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap in running water. We also check their body temperature to anticipate COVID-19 transmission," she mentioned.
