The 2020 National Puspa and Satwa Day (Flower and Animal Day) Commemoration was held in the Thousand Islands National Park, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, on Thursday (11/5).
It took the theme "Flower and Animals in Order to Strengthen National Health and Food Security".

Environment and Forestry Vice Ministry Alue Dohong said preserving nature in Thousand Islands was very important as a tourist destination with natural nuances.
"We need to preserve nature here thus the tourism sector is increasingly in demand and the people's economy can improve," he expressed.
In the meantime, Thousand Islands Regent Juanedi was grateful that the Thousand Islands were believed to be the location for the commemoration of the event.
"Thank you, a lot of activities is being carried out here to preserve the environment, especially for the flora and fauna. Through mangrove planting, we hope that it will be safer from abrasion and that the ecosystem will be more preserved," he stated.
