East jakarta Mayor Monitors Wira Jasa Retention Basin Construction Process

Today, East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar monitored Wira Jasa Retention Basin (Embung) construction process in Cipinang Melayu, Makasar.

Currently, Wira Jasa Retention Basin construction reaches 60 percent

In this monitoring, his side also accompanied by East Jakarta TP PKK Head, Diah Anwar; East Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development, Kusmanto; Makasar Sub-district Head, Kamal Alatas; and Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Agus Sulaeman.

"Currently, Wira Jasa Retention Basin construction reaches 60 percent," Anwar said, Wednesday (11/11)

Construction of Wirajasa Retention Basin Reaches 30 Percent

Even though it is still under construction, its existence is expected to minimize inundation in the region.

Because it is proven that when water level at Sunter Hulu reached Alert 2 status, residential areas in RW 06, RW 07 and RW 08 that were usually flooded, but now they are no longer flooded.

"Its construction is targeted to finish in the end of December," he asserted.

This retention basin is not only used as reservoir and flood control, but also one of water tourism destinations in East Jakarta.

Thus, his side will arrange and beautify this area to make it more beautiful and comfortable to be visited by residents or tourists.

"At least, around this retention basin will be plated with typical betawi plants such as Kecapi, Jamblang, Rambutan, Dukuh Condet, and others," he explained.
