SDA Agency: SPALD in Jagakarsa Reservoir in Good Condition

Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency regularly monitors condition of Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD) in Jakarta. One of them is Jagakarasa Reservoir Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), which located in Lenteng Agung, Jagakarasa, South Jakarta.

IPAL monitoring is focus on checking IPAL's blowers condition and electricity, mud pump and equalizing pump performance, system and manhole

Jakarta SDA Agency's Wastewater Management Facilities and Infrastructure Development Section Head, Robby Dwi Mariansyah said, SPALD condition can affect the result of wastewater treatment that meets the quality standards as regulated in Permen LH No. P.68/menlhk/setjen/kum.1/8/2016 concerning Domestic Wastewater Quality Standards.

He explained, monitoring is carried out routinely by Jagakarasa Reservoir IPAL operator every day and regularly by related Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency or Agency.

"IPAL monitoring is focus on checking IPAL's blowers condition and electricity, mud pump and equalizing pump performance, system and manhole," he informed, Thursday (11/12).

Moreover, operators also check availability of chlorine, inlet and outlet channels condition, and pool condition such as aeration, equalizing, and mud tanks," he stated.

"We also test water samples taken from inlet and outlet locations, carry out mud dredging when it is fully cooperated with PD. PAL Jaya, and maintain cleanliness of IPAL environment," he closed.
