Celebrating the 19th Anniversary of Thousand Islands Regency, Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi launched Thousand Islands Batik at Regency Plaza, Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands.

It has various patterns of sea creatures

This typical Thousand Island Batik has four dominant colors; maroon, green, yellow, and black.

"Today, we launch Thousand Islands Batik as a pride of local residents and civil servants of Thousand Islands Regency," he conveyed, Saturday (11/14).

His side will promote Thousand Islands Batik as an artistic and cultural entity to make local residents proud of it and attract more tourists.

"It has various patterns of sea creatures such as hawksbill, coral reefs, seagrass, and others which combined with Ondel-ondel pattern," he explained.

On this occasion, he also encouraged people to support tourism development in the region to advance and improve people's economy.

"We encourage residents to build synergy in order to improve tourism potentials in Thousand Islands to support economy through a sustainable development," he stated.
