Number of Jakpreneurs Under Disparekraf Exceeded the Target

Number of Jakpreneur under Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency in this year has exceeded the target.

Because of Covid-19 pandemic, many people take business opportunities

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Helma Dahlia mentioned, her side has targeted 1,540 Jakpreneurs to be realized in this year.

"This year's realization reaches 2,090 Jakpreneurs, which means it has exceeded the target. Because of Covid-19 pandemic, many people take business opportunities and we facilitate those who want to start new business, or entrepreneurs who want to be advanced," she mentioned, Monday (11/16).

Thus, currently Jakarta Parekraf Agency coached 3,630 Jakpreneurs in total. It will make it easier for Jakpreneur mentors to focus more on helping participants with training, marketing, issuing business licenses, and others.

Even though it had exceeded the target, Jakarta Parekraf Agency still opened opportunities for Jakarta residents to join as Jakpreneur. Facilitators will ensure participants to get benefits from Jakpreneur through P1-P7 training stages.

"We focus on balancing the curve, thus the number is not only high during registration period, but also on the training and mentoring sessions, until issuing permits," she added.

Jakarta Government is consistent to take an active role in encouraging and stimulating MSMEs development through Jakpreneur program.

"People who take a part in Jakpreneur program will be facilitated thus they can develop collaboratively," she stated.
