SDA Accelerates Stilling Basins Construction in Kelapa Gading

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) accelerates 11 stilling basins construction work on Jalan Boulevard Raya Kelapa Gading, Kelapa Gading.

It is built to overcome inundation on Jalan Boulevard Raya in front of MKG that often occur when heavy rain falls

This construction work is targeted to finish in December 2020.

Kelapa Gading SDA Unit Head, Citrin Indriyarti conveyed, this construction has been started since October 19, 2020. Stilling basins will be used as temporary water storage on the eastern side of Jalan Boulevard Raya.

Stilling Basin Construction on Jalan Pangeran Tubagus Angke Has Been Completed

"It is built to overcome inundation on Jalan Boulevard Raya in front of MKG that often occur when heavy rain falls. So far its progress has reached about 30 percent," he mentioned, Wednesday (11/18).

According to her, each stilling basins has an average length of 15 meters with width 3 meters and depth about 1.3 meters.

For this project, her side deployed 22 personnel from Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Unit, as well as one heavy equipment and one dump truck.

"Our target is to finish this work before the peak of rainy season. Hopefully it will finish in December," she asserted.
