Let's Join Virtual Thousand Islands Virtual 10K

The Thousand Islands Technical Work Unit (UKT) 1 has announced to hold the virtual 10-kilometer (10K) Run, which falls on November 21-30.

"It is free of charge and open to the public, students (school/collage), ASN, PJLP to army/police. This is for all ages," expressed Thousand Islands UKT 1 Head, Ade Slamet, Thursday (11/19).

Thus far, he explained, the number of participants had touched 248 people, either from Jakarta or outside Jakarta.

"Registration stage will be closed tomorrow at 4 PM. We have socialized to since November 1," he explained.

Therefore, residents who wanted to join the event could register via Instagram account @sipora1000, which entered into Strava app or scan barcodes Thousand Island Virtual Run

"Each participant will run a distance of one kilometer in Thousand Islands and the other nine kilometers are free to do anywhere," he explained.

He added that the winners would get prizes and certificates. Meanwhile, the first 100 participants who could complete the 10-kilometer mileage would also receive attractive prizes.

"This is an innovation amid the COVID-19 pandemic thus residents can continue to exercise safely," he stated.
