Library Building on Jalan Tanah Abang Damaged

The condition of a Library and Archives Building located on Jalan Tanah Abang I, Gambir, Central Jakarta, is worrying and need immediate repair. Surely, it has disturbing the comfort of visitors.

Many ceiling are already leaking. It is supposedly to be repaired soon thus we enjoy to visit the library

As quoted by beritajakara.com, the damage looks on the inside of the building, in which many of the walls began to crack. Even, there are some leaky ceiling.

"Many ceiling are already leaking. It is supposedly to be repaired soon thus we enjoy to visit the library," said Siti Fatimah, one of the visitors, Tuesday (10/28).

On the other hand, the building's yard also used as a parking lot for garbage carts. It caused rotten smell around the building. 

Responding on this matter, Head of Central Jakarta Library and Archives, Central Jakarta Administration, Ajang Pinem disclosed repair work is the responsibility of the contractor. "In accordance with the law, the contractor is still responsible for the maintenance of the physical building for 5 years and construction for 10 years," he expressed.
