Tak Kunjung Diperbaiki, Lokbin Abdul Gani Kian Memprihatinkan

Abdul Gani Lokbin Needs Repair

The condition of Abdul Gani Built Landscape (Lokbin) on Jalan Galur Jaya, Johar Baru Sub-District, Central Jakarta, is very worrying. The building built in 1996 looks dirty and slum with damages in some parts.

Peddlers only operate half day since the market is deserted from buyers

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the lokbin as wide as 5.367 square meters has many damaged kiosks and leaked roof. Thus, rain water easily goes into the building and makes the floor becomes muddy. Because of that, many peddlers closed down their kiosks in the lokbin and decided to sell on roadside.

“Peddlers only operate half day since the market is deserted from buyers. The lokbin is deserted from buyers because it does not have parking lot. That’s why many kiosks were closed down by the owners,” disclosed Ramlan (29), a vegetables peddler, Friday (10/17).

Severe Damage, Kramatjati Market's Lokbin Deserted From Visitor

Responding on this matter, Head of Lokbin Technical Management Unit for Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP) Department, Orada Sinurat, admitted that Abdul Gani Lokbin needs repair. Actually, his party has proposed budget for repair since 2012, but its auction process was delayed, so the repair plan becomes stalled.

“We actually wanted to repair the market in 2013, but it was delayed because the auction process was approved in October. Likewise the auction this year which started in September, thus we had to cancel it again,” he stated.

According to Sinurat, his party will propose budget for repair again next year. For information, the market is quite potential because of its location in densely populated area.

“Hopefully our proposal next year could be approved. Moreover, all peddlers have paid retribution via DKI Bank auto debit,” he said.
