East Jakarta Holds Disaster Simulation in Cililitan

The aim is to teach residents what they have to do when the disaster occurs after receiving information through early warning system from the Bogor Katulampa
The East Jakarta administration held a simulation called Kampung Tangguh Bencana (Disaster Resilient Village) in RW 16 Cililitan, Kramat Jati, on Friday (12/4).
East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar disclosed that it is held by deploying 200 joint personnel at the location.

He explained the way to handle must be amid the pandemic. For instance, residents who were undergoing self-isolation in flood shelters should be separated and flood victims handling for the elderly and toddlers should be more optimal.
"Nevertheless we remain prioritize health protocols in order to prevent a new COVID-19 cluster," he stressed.
Social Protection and Poverty Reduction Division Head Abdul Salam uttered the disaster simulation in East Jakarta was currently in RW 16, Cililitan. Therefore the similar action was planned to be held in Kampung Melayu, Cawang, Cipinang Melayu, Ciracas and Kebon Pala urban villages.
He explained the Kampung Tangguh Bencana simulation was initiated by the BPBD and only at RW level. Its execution was in the field, where there was synergy with the related UKPD and was chaired by the head of the local RW.
"It is surely different with Kampung Siaga Bencana (Disaster Alert Village), where it only touches urban village level and is initiated by the Ministry of Social," he expressed.
It has no interference from the related UKPD.
"The community becomes more independent, but for the needs of infrastructure and in kind it is supported by the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency," he stated.
