Disparekraf Imposes Sanction on 20 Business Places

In this Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) period, Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) monitored 232 business places. In this monitoring, 20 business places were given sanction due to violating PSBB regulations.

The issuance of Pergub No. 101/2020 is very effective for us to monitor and control the tourism industry

Jakarta Disparekraf's Tourism Industry Division Head, Bambang Ismadi said, business places monitoring was carried out on December 7-14, 2020. There were 16 types of business which monitored, namely restaurants, cafes, bars, billiards, hotels, coffee shops, karaoke, spa, discotheque, cinema, golf, massage parlor, reflexology, salon/barber shop, sports center, and family recreation locations.

"We revoke business permits of 15 business places since they don't implement health protocols, while the other three were temporarily closed because they operated before the specified time, and two others were given socialization," he explained, Wednesday (12/16).

In this pandemic situation, his side can immediately impose sanctions on business that violate PSBB regulations which is in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 101/2020 and Circular Letter from Tourism and Creative Economy Head No. 441/2020. 

"The issuance of Pergub No. 101/2020 is very effective for us to monitor and control the tourism industry," he stated.
