Fines Collected from Health Protocols Violators in Thousand Islands Exceeds One Million

Thousand Islands Satpol PP intensifies health protocols implementation to prevent COVID-19 transmission in the region. From March until December 17, Satpol PP collected administrative fines from health protocols violators as much as Rp 1,150,000.

Thousand Islands Satpol PP Head, Rahmat Lubis conveyed, those fines have been deposited through Bank DKI as regional revenue.

"We hope by imposing sanctions, it can give deterrent effect for the people and visitors who are not disciplined in implementing health protocols, especially in wearing mask," he asserted, Friday (12/18).

In that period, number of health protocols violators reached 2,456 people. As many as 1,508 people caught violating health protocols in North Thousand Islands and 948 people in South Thousand Islands.

"We are not only imposing administrative sanction, but also social sanction by instructing them to clean up public facilities. Most of the violation is not wearing mask or not wearing mask properly," he mentioned.
