Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency conducts food inspection ahead of Christmas and New Year in five regions spread over Jakarta, on Monday (12/21).
Jakarta KPKP Agency Acting Head Suharini Eliawati said, it was carried out due to the increasing demand.
Food Inspection Held in Four Traditional Markets in South Jakarta"Apart from ensuring availability quantitatively, we also focus on quality assurance and food safety," she said.
She explained it was intensified simultaneously in several modern markets in a bid to ensure the food consumed by residents from the content of dangerous chemicals.
Monitoring and sampling were conducted on agricultural commodities such as rice, fruits and vegetables, for fish, shrimp, squid and their processed products, as well as farmer products, namely beef, chicken meat, offal, and their processed products.
