Christmas, City Sells Cheap Eggs in 15 Markets

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency together with the Agriculture Ministry sells cheap eggs in several markets.

Per egg, we sell at Rp 24,000 per kg. Each shopper can buy a maximum of 2 kg

Jakarta KPKP Agency Acting Head Suharini Eliawati said, it was held due to price hike on egg ahead of Christmas and New Year celebtations.

"Per egg, we sell at Rp 24,000 per kg. Each shopper can buy a maximum of 2 kg," he expressed, Thursday (12/24).

It is held until December 30 by collaborating with Perumda Pasar Jaya. Each market provided 500 kg of eggs.

So, to enjoy it, residents may come to Tebet, Lenteng Agung, Cijantung, Pal Merah and Tomang Barat markets. Then on December 27-30, it could also be found in Pademangan Timur  Glodok, Petojo Ilir, Pondok Labu, Cempaka Putih  Pluit, Cipete Selatan, Pos Pengumben, Kebayoran Lama, dan Rawamangun markets.

" No market activities on December 25-26. By doing so, it is expected be able to lighten the burden for the community," he stated. 

"Untuk tanggal 25 dan 26 Desember 2020, kita libur. Semoga dengan adanya kegiatan ini dapat meringankan beban bagi masyarakat menjelang Nataru," tandasnya.
