Thousand Islands Regent Juanedi, confirmed that the food stocks on 11 residential islands in Thousand Islands for Christmas and New Year are safe.

He asked, urban village and sub-district heads were also continuously monitoring regions related to the availability of basic needs. It needed to be done to anticipate price hikes.

"We continue to coordinate with Perumda Pasar Jaya. Besides Jakgrosir on Tidung Kecil Island, there are also Jakgrosir outlets in every urban village. This is very helpful in overcoming the availability of food needs in stalls and maintaining the stability of food prices," he stated.
