Regency Encourages Tourists in Thousand Islands to Comply with Health Protocols

Tourists who visit Thousand Islands are always reminded to comply with health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Moreover, many tourists tend to visit Thousand Islands during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays.

We are also cooperating with related agencies to monitor health protocols at tourist sites

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency Head, Puji Astuti mentioned, together with related regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) and agencies, she strictly monitored health protocols implementation among tourists. Especially by ensuring tourists to wear mask and checking their temperature at piers.

"We are also cooperating with related agencies to monitor health protocols at tourist sites which designated as locations with strict control by Jakarta Government," she asserted, Saturday (12/26).

Here are Ancol Operational Hours on Christmas and New Year Holidays

Tourist sites in Thousand Islands with strict control on health protocols are Untung Jawa Island's public beaches, including Sakura Beach and Arsa Park Beach; Tidung Island's public beaches including Jembatan Cinta (Love Bridge); Pari Island's pubic beaches, including Pasir Perawan Beach, Matahari Beach, and Bintang Beach.

"We hope by conducting strict control and compliance with health protocols, COVID-19 transmission can be prevented," she said.

During Christmas and New Year holidays, there were 3,018 tourists who visited Thousand Islands. In detail, 1,355 people visited on Thursday (12/24) and 1,663 people visited on Friday (12/25).

"They take a vacation in residential islands and resort islands in Thousand Islands," she conveyed.
