Cakung Barat to Have Public Reading Garden Soon

The Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Bale Buku (Public Reading Garden) in Cakung Barat Urban Village, East Jakarta, starts being built in the urban village area, Wednesday (12/30).
It is targeted to be completed for two weeks
Its development was marked by Jakarta Library and Archives Regional Acting Secretary Imam Mulatip witnessed by Cakung Sub-district Secretary Septalina Purba, Cakung Barat Urban Village Head Daniel Wisnu Parulian and representatives from PT Bank DKI.
Jakarta Library and Archives Regional Acting Secretary Imam Mulatip disclosed, it is the result of a collaboration between the Library and Archives Agency with Bank DKI's CSR. The development spent Rp 40 million from Bank DKI's CSR.

He explained it would be built on a 3x6-square-meter width land and would be completed with a gazebo and three shelves for 1,100 books.
"By so, it is able to increase public interest in reading, especially children," he expressed.
Similar statement also came out from Cakung Sub-district Secretary Septalina Purba. He hoped, it could be useful and be an interaction space for residents in Cakung Barat area.
"Hopefully it can increase the productivity of children and mothers amid the pandemic," he hoped.
