The Thousand Islands Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency holds training to 114 processing households (RTP) or seaweed cultivators.
Devi Lidia, Head of Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency expressed they were taught how to plant and processing until provide seaweed seeds.

She detailed, on Tidung Island, there were 40 RTPs, with detailed 10 were on Pari Island and 64 were on Panggang Island.
"Besides being able to be produced for various processed foods, seaweed is also much needed as raw material for cosmetics," she explained.
He added, this year, his side planned to hold training in a bid to increase added value in the form of making cosmetics such as soap and air freshener.
"Only a few types of seaweed can be processed into processed food. That's why we're going to hold training in making cosmetics, to meet the needs in Thousand Islands," she stated.
