Jakarta Government through Social Agency (Dinsos) has distributed social assistance to residents affected by COVID-19 starting Tuesday (1/12). Unlike the previous year, this social aid was distributed in form of Social Cash Assistance (BST). East Jakarta becomes the first region to receive BST.
BST in Jakarta comes from two sources
Social Agency Head, Irmansyah mentioned, BST recipients will get social cash assistance Rp 300,000 per family for four months, from January to April 2021.
"BST in Jakarta comes from two sources, namely Social Ministry APBN which covers 750,000 households and distributed through PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) and Jakarta Government's APBD (city budget) that covers 1,055,216 households and distributed to BST recipients through Bank DKI in form of bank savings and ATM cards," he explained as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Wednesday (1/13).
Social Cash Assistance Begins to Be Distributed in East JakartaEach BST recipients, he continued, will receive invitation which delivered by designated regional officer maximum D-1 before the distribution. In order to take the assistance, recipients should bring documents such as: (1) invitation for distribution; (2) ID card/KTP (original and copy); (3) original or copy of Family Card (KK).
BST distribution uses total 814 school buildings in 6 administrative cities/regency, where 160 schools are used every day for distribution. If BST recipients can't attend on their schedule, they will be invited again at second until third invitation after the first distribution is completed in all regions throughout Jakarta. Thus, recipients who are sick are advised for not forcing themselves to go to the location.
"BST recipients who are sick, shouldn't force to attend because they can use power of attorney to their heirs or closest relatives, or attend when they are in good health on the next invitation schedule from Bank DKI. Please don't force yourself since you will be rescheduled by Bank DKI," he mentioned.
BST recipients can be represented by:
1. Family members
Requirements:
- Power of Attorney from BST recipient
- Power of Attorney from Principal
- ID card (KTP) and family card (KK), both original and copies from both parties
2. Other people outside family members, such as Uncle, Aunt, or Grandmother
