Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of January 21

The addition of cases today totals 3,151 cases

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of January 21.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 19,104 specimens. 17,128 of them were to diagnose new cases with 3,074 positive and 14,054 negative results.

"The addition of cases today totals 3,151 cases, as 77 cases are the accumulation of data from the previous days, which are newly reported. The number of people tested last week has reached 113,910, while 231,112 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (1/21).

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 21,756 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 532 cases. As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 239,226 cases. Of these cases, 213,570 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 89.3% and 3,900 people died with a death rate of 1.6%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.9%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 16.9%, while Indonesia was 9.7%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

- Written warning = 65

- License Revocation = 0

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 9,900.000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 1,000,000

Amount = Rp 10,900,000
