Head of Jakarta Education Department, Lasro Marbun, ensures there will be no overlap between programs of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) initiated by President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo. He even believes that both programs will support each other.
To prevent those programs from overlapping, the matter will be discussed further with related parties
KJP itself is a program to help fulfilling the needs of students from elementary school to high school, which has been running since these last two years. This program was initiated by Jokowi when he still served as Jakarta Governor. While KIP, it is initiated after Jokowi becomes Indonesia President, and just being launched.
“To prevent those programs from overlapping, the matter will be discussed further with related parties. It seems there would be separation, which is KJP target and which is KIP target. But, it would support each other,” stated Marbun, at City Hall, Monday (11/3).
