Central Jakarta Develops Shopping Destination

The Central Jakarta Administration keeps developing the tourism sector. One of them is by developing the Cikini Gold Center Market as a modern tourist destination. To attract visitor, the market management will hold an agate exhibition for eight days.

Central Jakarta Secretary, Bayu Megantara disclosed that generally, his party continues to develop the tourism sector, either local or foreign tourists.

According to him, the interest thing in Central Jakarta is create the modern market as one tourist destination. He targets an area in Cikini, namely Cikini Gold Center becomes a tourist destination. "Cikini Gold Center is very famous in the 70s, and we try to raise it back," he said, Thursday (10/30).

To realize it, he stressed, there must be various activities with cultural nuances of Jakarta. Then is by providing the tourist information center thus visitors can also gain knowledge about Cikini Gold Center.

 

"If all the requirements needed are met, it will surely able to make the Cikini Gold Center as tourist destination. Even the site has advantages as the largest gold sales center in Indonesia," he expressed.

Cikini Gold Center Project Manager, Atar Tarigan said his party continues to hold a positive activity to attract visitors periodically in order to enliven the Cikini Gold Center. In the near future, the agate exhibition would be held in such site.

Public interest towards agate, he furthered, has made Cikini Gold Center as the right place. "We keep trying to transform the site as tourist destination, one of them by holding a variety of positive activities," he stated.

Meanwhile, Committee Head of Agate Exhibition, Adelaya revealed the exhibition will open in December 3-7. She also plans to give agate education 

She has involved exhibitors from Pakistan. It is expected to reach the target of 7,000 visitors and transaction value worth Rp 6 billion. "We hold the event in the center of town, surely it will be a lot of interest," she closed.
