RW 04 Lagoa Residents Build Good Cooperation in Handling COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has strengthen cooperation and cohesiveness of residents at RW 04, Lagoa Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta.

RW 04 COVID-19 Task Force Head, Saepudin stated, by strengthening solidarity, RW 04 residents managed to transform from red zone of COVID-19 into green zone.

"We can't do it alone. Residents need to be disciplined in complying with health protocols as our effort to realize RW 04 Lagoa Urban Village as Resilient Village," he asserted, Thursday (1/28).

Not only preventing COVID-19, but cooperation in assisting residents exposed to COVID-19 is also the key. Including to help those who undergo self-isolation.

"We provide staple foods, medicines, and other assistance which collected by residents to ensure those who undergo self-isolation can stay at home because their needs have been fulfilled," he conveyed.

According to him, it is also important to build synergy with related parties, such as health center (puskesmas), sub-district, urban village, PKK cadres, Karang Taruna, and RT administrators.

"At the beginning of pandemic, there were residents who exposed to COVID-19 and died. This incident becomes valuable lesson for us and makes us aware of the dangers of COVID-19," he mentioned.

Various efforts are still made to prevent COVID-19 spread in the region, such as socializing 3M by installing banners or sharing information via WhatsApp groups.

"We also control access to the settlements, by checking visitor's body temperature, requiring people to wear mask, and providing handwashing facility," he added.

For information, RW 04 Lagoa Urban Village consists of RT 001 to RT 015 with area about 8 hectares. Its population reaches 6,000 people with 2,700 families.
