Thousand Islands to Require COVID-19 Swab Test Results for All Visitors

Tourists who want to vacation in tourist destinations in South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands are required to bring and show evidence of negative swab results. If not, they are required to take a swab test at the local puskesmas.

It aims to contain the transmission of COVID-19, especially in South Thousand Islands

This policy is stipulated in the Joint Agreement Letter, Task Force for Kampung Tangguh Jaya, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands Regency.

South Thousand Islands Sub-district Head Angga Saputra said it would take effect from Friday until an undetermined time limit.

"It aims to contain the transmission of COVID-19, especially in South Thousand Islands," he expressed, Friday (1/29).

South Thousand Islands Sector Police Head AKP Agung Ardiyansyah added the letter also regulated on the obligation to comply with health protocols wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining physical distancing.

"We also prohibit activities that cause the crowd. If it happens, we will act decisively," he stated.

As for the information, this joint agreement was signed by South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Angga Saputra; South Thousand Islands Police Chief, AKP Agung Ardiyansyah; South Thousand Islands Puskesmas, Ilmi Tri Indarto; urban village heads, local MUI heads, as well as sub-district FKDM and urban village FKDM.
