End of November, Three JPOs on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman will Be Revitalized

Jakarta Bina Marga Department is about to revitalize three pedestrian bridge (JPO)s on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in the end of November 2019. Those JPOs are Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) JPO, Karet Sudirman JPO, and Dukuh Atas JPO.

We will also equip it with lift

Jakarta Bina Marga Department Head, Hari Nugroho said, JPOs that connects between sidewalks as those three JPOS are designed without roof. Otherwise, JPOs that are connected with Transjakarta bus shelter will remain to have roof.

"These JPOs that connect sidewalk to sidewalk are connected and open, except JPOs that connect to Transjakarta bus shelter. Because if it is open, during rain or hot weather, it will cause queue and reduce pedestrian comfort," he explained, Monday (11/11).

Bina Marga Plans to Revitalize 11 JPOs Next Year

They will have a modern and attractive design and bougainvillea flowers on its sides.

"We also plan to equip it with lift. We do this through budget from compensation on the Building Floor Coefficient (KLB)," he mentioned.

Especially for Karet Sudirman JPO, his side will repair its construction by widening it into five meters.

"Our target is to complete them before March 2020," he stated.
