Joint Personnel Assist Cawang Residents to Clean Up After Flood

Total 100 joint personnel from PPSU, Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Jakarta Environment Agency's Body Water UPK, and East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency cleaned up the remaining mud after flood in Cawang, Kramat Jati, on Wednesday (2/10).

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency deployed 2 pump cars to spray the remaining mud that as thick as 5-20 centimeters.

Cawang Urban Village Head, Didik Diarjo stated, it was caused by overflowing Ciliwung River which flooded RW 01, 02, 03, 05, 08, and RW 12 had receded since yesterday afternoon.

"Today, local residents and joint personnel clean up the area after flood," he mentioned.

Joint personnel used hoes, shovels, and dustpan to clean the garbage and deployed firetruck to spray the remaining mud.

"We estimate it to finish within 2 or 3 days. But we also need to anticipate flood that could happen at any time," he conveyed.
