3 Mobile Pumps Used for Post-Flood Cleaning in Kampung Melayu and Cawang

In order to accelerate post-flood cleaning, 3 mobile pumps were taken to spray remaining mud after flood in Kampung Melayu and Gang Arus, Cawang, on Thursday (2/11).

Mobile pumps will be used until post-flood cleaning is completely done

For information, 2 mobile pumps are owned by East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency and 1 mobile pump owned by Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Fire Control and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman mentioned, his side deployed 2 mobile pumps to spray mud with thickness around 30-50 centimeters to the Ciliwung River.

"The mud is very thick. We spray it into Ciliwung River," he conveyed.

Jatinegara Sub-district SDA Task Force Coordinator, Tamrizal stated, his side deployed 1 mobile pump and 12 personnel to accelerate post-flood cleaning in Kampung Melayu.

Currently, his side is focused on cleaning mud at RW 07 Kampung Melayu. Formerly, his side has also cleaned mud at RW 08. After cleaning those RWs, his side will continue to clean mud at RW 04 and RW 05 which are in worse condition because the locations near Ciliwung Bank.

According to him, SDA personnel and local residents were focused on cleaning up mud that clogged drainage in settlements which located near Ciliwung River.

"Mobile pumps will be used until post-flood cleaning is completely done," he asserted.
