Dozens of trees alongside streets in Senen Sub-district, Central Jakarta, pruned, which aimed of anticipating falling trees following the recent extreme weather.

Central Jakarta Park and Urban City Executing Unit Head Demak Bebasaraja said it was a routine agenda. Since early January until now, at least 60 trees were pruned.

"To execute it, we send eight personnel to do sweeping on protocol roads and follow up on resident complaints," he expressed, Sunday (2/14).

He added types of pruned trees were angsana, palm, banyan, and glodokan tiang.

"We also urge residents to report if they find a tree that is porous and prone to falling to anticipate unwanted things," he stated.
