Baung RPTRA Harvests Hydroponic Eggplants and Tomatoes

Administrators of Baung Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) on Jalan Baung III, RT 04/02, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta harvested 8 kilograms hydroponic eggplants and tomatoes on Monday (2/15).

Baung RPTRA Administrator, Neneng Irma mentioned, her side harvested 7 kilograms eggplants and 1 kilogram tomatoes after growing it hydroponically for four months.

"It is our effort to apply food security in the midst of pandemic," he stated.

Legislator Appreciates Urban Farming Development in Thousand Islands

Some of the crops were bought by PKK cadres and the rest were given to local residents who were economically affected by the pandemic. Previously, she added, her side had harvested bok choy and water spinach.

"Although RPTRA is still closed for residents' activities, we routinely carry out maintenance. Hopefully we can help local residents in the midst of pandemic by sharing the crops," she conveyed.
