It is done to develop agricultural business which are very popular with visitors and can be used by local residents for tourism and education purposes.
"Therefore, urban farming concept in Jakarta must be different. Such as introducing technology where people still can harvest excellent products even though the land is narrow and develop agriculture, tourism, and education sectors," he conveyed.
Meanwhile, Jakarta KPKP Agency's Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection UPT Head, Ali Nurdin mentioned, those golden melons were planted for approximately 72 days.
"All harvested melons will be sold to distributors who have partnered with us with price Rp 12,000 per kilogram," he added.
According to him, all melons were planted using hydroponic system which are in demand by most people. Because it has crispy texture and contains sugar which is adjusted due to the treatment using micro elements from plant nutrients.
