Inundation on Jalan Raya Cilincing Gradually Receding

Cilincing Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit officers managed to handle inundation as high as 20 cm on Jalan Raya Cilincing, Kalibaru Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Tuesday (2/16).

The water had started gradually and left about 5 cm height.
Cilincing Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Tjahyono Budi Setiawan said one unit of floating pump was also alerted to suck up water to be flowed to the nearest channel that empties into Java Sea.

He explained the water was previously inundating Jalan Raya Cilincing up to 25 cm height. It was caused by leaking sheet pile's walls in PT New Port Container Terminal One (NPCT1) area and high rainfall intensity.
"There are several points that are leaking and one point we have fixed. We're still awaiting permission from the company to make further improvements," he said.
Cilincing Sub-district Transportation Executing Unit Head Alfath Yogatama ensured, despite it was inundated, drivers could still pass the road.
"Surely it is still passable, but only a little choked up around the inundation location," he stressed.
