Collaboration in Facing Rainy Season, City Distributes Additional Supporting Facilities

Jakarta Government continues to anticipate inundation and flood in several areas. One of the efforts is distributing additional supporting facilities to face rainy season for areas prone to inundation and flood.

We distribute additional supporting facilities as the first stage aid to 182 RTs and 31 RWs in 14 flood-prone urban villages

Jakarta BPBD Acting Head (Plt), Sabdo Kurnianto mentioned, Jakarta Government collaborated with BNPB, Jakarta Baznas (Bazis), Bank DKI, and Bank BRI to supply number of additional supporting facilities.

"Yesterday, we distribute additional supporting facilities as the first stage aid to 182 RTs and 31 RWs in 14 flood-prone urban villages, in form of megaphone, flashlight, inner tubes for evacuation, medical masks, and cloth masks. We will continue to distribute next aid in stages," he stated on Thursday (2/25) as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Other supporting facilities, such as jerrycan boat, inner tubes, and cloth masks have also been distributed to Disaster Preparedness Villages (KSBs) in all Jakarta regions from Thursday (2/18) until Saturday (2/20).

Here are details of supporting facilities distributed by each parties;

1. BNPB

- Cloth mask = 51,000 pieces

- Inflatable boat = 13 units

2. Baznas (Bazis)

- Jerrycan boat = 37 units

- Inner tire for evacuation = 150 units

- Megaphone = 190 units

- Flashlight = 190 units

3. Bank DKI

-Flood preparedness guide for public = 33,311 units

- Flood control manual for OPDs, institutions, and volunteers = 611 units

- Megaphone = 200 units

- Flashlights = 200 units

4. Bank BRI

- Inner tire for evacuation = 350 units

- COVID-19 tents = 4 units

- Isolation booth = 40 units

5. Donation

- Medical mask = 51,000 pieces
